On June 30th, we bid farewell to Eve Loffree who has worked as the financial services administration assistant. Thank you Eve for all the support you have given to the Mission and Service Fund.

Maritime Conference has created these beautiful Story Telling Shawls. The idea was that when Minutes for Mission was read, the reader could wear these shawls as a visible reminder of the Mission and Service Fund. These shawls have been given to M&S enthusiasts and clergy throughout the Maritimes.
But here is some good news. Soon these patterns will be available across the country. It will be one way that we can show our pride in the Mission and Service Fund.

It is with sadness that we announce that Eve Loffree is retiring from our unit. Eve has served as the Administrative Assistant for the Financial Stewardship Unit for many years. We wish her all the best and thank her for her many years of efforts on our behalf. Eve is here until June 30th.
It is with joy that we announce that Maryfelix Baldelomar has joined our unit effective June 22nd. Maryfelix has a great deal of experience working in non profit fundraising. She is not set up on the phone and computer system here yet, but as soon as those details become formalized, we will place it here on MaST.

Please submit your objective form for M&S. It takes only a few minutes, but your denomination values the information. The deadline for submitting your goal has been extended to July 15th, 2009.
Please use the response form that was mailed to each congregation in the fall. If you have lost your response form, you can email your objective to

Lets see. The mail has been stopped. The newspaper has been stopped. Friends are going to come in and water the plants. The local boy is going to take care of the lawn. Sounds like you are about ready to go on vacation. Sounds like you have everything quite taken care of.
But you haven't got everything ready!!!!!!!!!
What about your local congregation? Who is going to take care of things when you are away? Who is going to make sure that the on going projects of your church can continue even though you are not there?
How about PAR?
PAR stands for pre-authorized remittance. It ensures that there is continued support for your congregation and the M&S Fund even when you are not there. You choose the amount you wish to give and how that money is to be distributed- local church, Mission and Service, World Development Relief. Each month your contribution is automatically withdrawn from your bank account or credit card. It is an easy way to ensure the on going work of your church even when you are not there.
